************* There are some things you must do in order to receive Christ into your life. ************* First, You must realize and admit that you are a sinner. Because of the fallen sin nature of Adam and Eve, we were all born sinners. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Psalms 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me". ************* Secondly, You must repent of your sins. True repentance means to have a change of heart, a change of mind and a change of direction. It’s a 180-degree turn from sin towards God. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ************* Third, You must confess the Lord Jesus. To confess the Lord Jesus means to denounce Satan as Lord over your life and make Jesus Lord of your life. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Romans 10:9-10: "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". ************* Fourth, There are the Baptisms, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (which I will explain later) and the Baptism of Water. The Baptism of Water is a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is an outward sign of an inward change. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Matthew 3:6: "And they were baptized of him in Jordan, Confessing their sins". ************* Fifth, You must be obedient to the Word of God. You must purpose in your heart to find a local church that teaches and preaches the Word of God and consistently be there. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN 1 John 5:3: "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous". ************* Do you understand these steps? ************* Please raise both of your hands as a sign of surrender to God and repeat after me. ************* Our Father in the name of Jesus,/ I recognize and admit that I am a sinner./ I repent of my sins/ I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus./ I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead./ For with my heart, I believe unto righteousness./ For with my mouth confession is made unto salvation/ I thank you Lord God for saving me./ In Jesus name I pray./ Amen. ************************* ************************* ************************* ************************* REDEDICATION. ************* Rededication is first of all for those who have already given their life to Christ. Rededication is a twofold process. First, it is for those who have strayed away from living a committed life according to the Word of God, but now want to recommit themselves. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN I John 1:9 ; If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ************* Secondly, it is for those who desire a closer walk with the Lord. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN James 4:8; If we draw closer to the Lord, then He will draw closer to us. ************* Please raise your hands as a sign of surrender to God and repeat after me. ************* Our Father in the name of Jesus,/ your Word says if we confess our sins, / you are faithful and just to forgive our sins/ and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. / Father, I confess my sins/ and I thank you for your forgiveness/ and for cleansing me from all unrighteousness. / Father, I desire a closer walk with you. / I recommit myself to living by your Word. / Your Word says if I draw closer to You, / You will draw closer to me. / I rededicate my spirit, mind, soul, and body to you. / I thank You that I'm covered by the Blood of Jesus, / which continually cleanses me from all unrighteousness! / Thank You Lord God for allowing me/ to rededicate my life back to You, / in the Name of Jesus./ Amen! ************************* ************************* ************************* ************************* I will now explain how you can receive the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit", which will enhance your entire walk with the Lord. ************* First, you must understand that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. You don't have to tarry, plead or beg for this gift. All you have to do is receive. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Acts 2:38-39 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call". ************* Secondly, the only qualification for receiving the gift of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is that you must be born again. As the righteousness of God you have a right to receive this gift. ************* Third, it is scriptural to expect to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit after the laying on of hands. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Acts 8:17 Then laid they hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. ************* Fourth, the Holy Spirit will give the utterance but you must provide the voice. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Acts 2:4 "and they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to Speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance". ************* Fifth, you must disregard any fears that come from foolish teachings that said you might receive a counterfeit. God is Righteous and He will not give you a bad gift. THE BIBLE SAYS: IN Luke 11:9-13 "And I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Orif he asks for a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? ************* Sixth, you must open your mouth wide and speak as an act of faith to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is as though you are drinking a glass of water. You cannot drink water with your mouth closed. ************* Please raise both of your hands and repeat after me. ************* Our Father in the Name of Jesus,/ I understand that the Gift of the Holy Spirit/ was poured out on the Day of Pentecost./ I also understand that/ I don't have to tarry, plead or beg for this gift/ that all I have to do is receiven it./ Father, I am born again therefore,/ as the righteousness of God/ I have a blood bought right/ to receive this gift./ I expect to receive this gift/ after the laying on of hands/ and what I expect is/ for the Holy Spirit to give me the utterance/ as I provide the voice./ I disregard any fear/ that came from foolish teachings/ saying I will receive a counterfeit gift./ For I know that you are a righteous God/ and you will not give me a bad gift./ As an act of my faith/ I will open my mouth wide and speak/ and I will receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit/ with evidence of speaking in tongues./ In the Name of Jesus I pray./ Amen! ************* As I speak in tongues allow the Holy Spirit to move you to do the same.
